Why The Collar
At the heart of the Catholic Church is the Holy Eucharist - Our Lord and Savior's Sacred Heart. The Holy Mass was instituted by Christ at the Last Supper so that His saving passion would be present to all people, for all time.
He established the ministerial priesthood to share in His High Priesthood — men who answer a sacred call, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, make Christ truly present to us in the Eucharist and restore us to His grace through the Sacrament of Confession.
Yet today, the Church faces a quiet crisis. Across North America and Europe, fewer men are answering that call. Seminaries that once overflowed are now half-empty. The need has never been greater.
Where do Priests come from? They come from Catholic families.
The Collar exists to encourage families to promote a discernment process from their own children. To inspire young men to answer this sacred call.
To accompany, and to celebrate the men who have already given their lives to Christ and His Church — and to share the beauty and mystery of the Priesthood with a world that so desperately needs it.
The Collar was formed to help the Church grow vocations by sharing the mystery of the Priesthood with the world.
The Vision
To grow vocations worldwide by bringing inspirational stories from Priests to the global Catholic community.
The Mission
Our mission is to share innovative digital content that highlights transformative stories from Priests. We aim to foster a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith and Holy Orders, inspiring Catholic families, parishes, and young men to advocate for and discern the Priesthood.
